Privacy policy
Translation. Only the German version is legally binding.
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), with notes on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors from the EU and the EEA.
In short: this website sets no cookies, embeds no advertising tools and no third-party analytics, has no forms and loads nothing from third parties. Fonts, images, videos and scripts come from my own server. I count page views with my own counter, but only if you agree in the privacy banner (see “Visit statistics”).

This policy applies to the website main-skill.ch. I write “I” for Main Skill. There is no data protection advisor and no representative in the EU; questions go directly to the address above.
Purpose of the website
The website presents the services of Main Skill: AI and automation for SMEs. Nothing is sold or booked through the website. Engagements are based on a confirmed quote agreed by email or phone.
Data generated when you visit
When you open the website, your browser sends technically necessary information to the server. It appears in server logs:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- address requested and amount of data transferred
- browser type and operating system
- referring page, if your browser sends it
Purpose: secure operation and troubleshooting. I do not combine this information with other data and do not analyse it to identify individuals. The logs are kept by the hosting provider (see “Hosting and recipients”). I do not determine how long it keeps them.
Cookies, tracking, browser storage
The website sets no cookies and has no third-party tracking. On your first visit a banner asks whether I may count page views (visit statistics); without your consent the counter stays off. The following entries may be created in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are neither transmitted nor analysed:
bw_einwilligung: your choice in the privacy banner (“Accept” or “Reject”), for 365 days or until this policy changesbw_zaehler_aus: only if you turned the counter off earlier; it is still respected and deleted when you acceptms_ansicht: your settings under “Display” (text size, contrast etc.), only if you change something theredemoMaler.v1: only in the product demo at/demo/nfc-visitenkarte/, sample entries you create there yourselfms_theme,ms_lang,ms_anpassung: colour mode, language and display settings on some subpages, only if you change something there
You can delete these entries at any time via your browser’s site data.
Visit statistics (own counter, only with consent)
To see which pages are read, I count page views with a small counter of my own, without an analytics provider such as Google Analytics. Counting only happens if you choose “Accept” in the privacy banner. Before that and after “Reject”, your browser sends nothing to the counter; the website works just the same without consent.
The counter runs on Microsoft Azure (Azure Container Apps, region Switzerland North, Switzerland) at zaehler.main-skill.ch. With your consent, your browser sends the counter the following when a page is opened:
- the address of the page without additions (for example
/impressum, without parameters) - on entry, if you come from another website: only its name (for example
google.com), never the full address - the width of the browser window; the counter immediately turns it into “mobile”, “tablet” or “desktop”
- the language of your browser (two letters, for example
en) - if you arrive through a link with a campaign tag (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign, for example from a post): that tag - if you click the email address or the phone number: that such a click happened (as a goal), without the address or number
Only daily totals are stored, for example “12 views of the home page on mobile devices”. These totals do not relate to any person and are kept without a fixed period. The counter sets no cookies, creates no profile and does not recognise you on a later visit. The counter itself neither stores nor logs IP addresses or browser identifiers; it checks the browser identifier only to exclude automated requests (bots). Your IP address technically reaches the server with every connection, as with any website; it is used only for delivery. Your browser only stores your decision (see “Cookies, tracking, browser storage”); it is not transmitted. If your browser sends the “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal, nothing is counted, even with consent.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(6) FADP; where the GDPR applies: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is voluntary. Purpose: improving the website.
Withdrawal: at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer or here. From then on nothing is counted. Withdrawal applies for the future; the existing daily totals contain nothing that can be traced back to you.
Videos and images
Videos and images are on my own server. There are no embeds from YouTube, Google Maps or any other platform.
Getting in touch
The website has no form and no customer account. You can reach me by email or phone. The email address and phone number are links: your device then opens your mail program or phone app. I only receive your details once you send or call.
I process the resulting information, at least your email address or phone number and the content of your message, to answer your request and, where applicable, prepare a quote. I keep the correspondence as long as needed for handling and any follow-up questions. I then delete it unless a legal retention obligation applies (for example ten years for business records under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations, if an engagement is concluded).
The address info@main-skill.ch is operated via the mail service of Gandi SAS (France). Gandi processes the content of your messages as a processor.
Hosting and recipients
- Microsoft Corporation, Azure Static Web Apps: delivery of the website and server logs. Resource in the West Europe region (Netherlands), delivery via a global distribution network.
- Microsoft Corporation, Azure Container Apps: own visit counter (daily totals only). Region Switzerland North (Switzerland).
- Gandi SAS: name service (DNS) for main-skill.ch and the mailbox info@main-skill.ch. France.
The providers act as processors on my instructions. I do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising. Beyond that, I only disclose data where I am legally required to.
Disclosure abroad
According to the decision of the Federal Council (Annex 1 of the Data Protection Ordinance), France and the Netherlands provide adequate data protection. With the Microsoft services, disclosure to the USA cannot be ruled out, for example during global delivery or in support cases. Microsoft Corporation is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, Microsoft governs data protection in a Data Protection Addendum with standard contractual clauses.
Fonts
The fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Public Sans, JetBrains Mono) are on my own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider.
External links and advertising
The home page and the legal pages do not link to other websites. The footer of some subpages contains a link to CraftPix.net; it is a paid link (affiliate link) and marked as such. The “Allan Brignoli” page links to the profile on freelancermap. These links are only requested when you click them. Your browser then sends the origin (this website) to the target page. The CraftPix link contains an identifier that lets the provider attribute the referral to me. On the target page, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
Your rights
You can ask me for:
- information about the data processed about you
- correction of inaccurate data
- deletion, unless a retention obligation applies
- release or transfer of your data
- objection to processing
An informal message to info@main-skill.ch is enough. I may ask for proof of your identity. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).
Visitors from the EU and the EEA
The website is aimed at businesses in Switzerland. If you visit it from the EU or the EEA, the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also be relevant depending on the case. Where that is so:
- server logs: legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- visit statistics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), see “Visit statistics”
- requests by email or phone: preparing or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise legitimate interest in answering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- in addition to the rights above: restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and a complaint to the data protection authority where you live or work (Art. 77 GDPR)
According to the decision of the European Commission, Switzerland provides adequate data protection.
Security
The website is delivered only over encrypted HTTPS. Protective measures are active in the browser, including a Content Security Policy that prevents loading external content. Only the connection to my own visit counter is allowed.
Changes
I update this policy when the operation of the website changes. The published German version with the date stated above is binding. This translation is for convenience.
